Our 4-week program helps you identify potential customers, refine the problem you are solving, and assess the viability of your solution.
Program is available in the fall, spring, and summer.

Participants in the program have access to...
- 1-on-1 advice from coaches who’ve “been there, done that”
- Receive $500 to help launch their business, if their idea has what it takes
- The Mom Test provided by the Penn State Bookstore
Learn from your potential customers.
The first step in business ideation is identifying a problem or need that others have too. During Idea TestLab you will:
- Learn how to talk with customers and ask the right questions to understand their problems/needs
- Articulate their problems/needs, specifying how your idea is the solution
- Define a target customer niche
Determine if your idea is viable.
Not all ideas have a business case that justifies moving forward. Idea TestLab will help you:
- Identify current solutions
- Understand the business model
- Sketch out a go to market strategy
